Raggmunk (fried potato pancakes served with pork and lingonberry jam) can be found in many restaurants and cafes, fried herring is one of the most popular street foods, meatballs are a staple of Swedish cuisine, while Princess cake (layers of sponge cake, whipped cream and custard, covered with marzipan) and semla (cardamom-spiced buns filled with almond paste and whipped cream) are great desserts to end any meal.

ABBA souvenirs are a must if you are a fan of the legendary pop group; Dala horses are symbols of the Dalarna region and you can find hand-painted horses in many souvenir shops; Nobel dinnerware, which is the same used to serve the food at the Nobel Prize banquet; and Sami bracelets made of leather and silver inspired by the traditional jewelry of the Sami people.
